Touch Screen
As someone who lives on the road, you'll appreciate
the AVIC N2's space-saving design from the very start.
The unit fits nicely within a standard radio dash opening,
and when turned on, the AVIC N2's LCD display screen
automatically slides out and rotates up into normal
operating position.
The large 6.5" screen is bright and
easy to see. It works both as display monitor and touch
screen interface. Simply touch the screen to zoom in
on navigation maps, select audio sources (such as XM
Satellite radio), jump to your blind-spot camera, and
much, much more. You can even retract the monitor and
continue to control the system - the AVIC N2's voice
prompts will alert you to upcoming navigation changes,
and when the main screen is closed, a sub-display on
the system's face keeps you in command.
The AVIC N2 system also includes a hideaway
box (it mounts out of the way under a seat), which houses
most of the system's inputs and outputs. If you connect
an optional sleeper monitor, you'll be able to take
advantage of "tri-zone" capability. With "tri-zone,"
you can listen to the radio up front, watch a DVD in
the sleeper, and keep the navigation display running!
